Hello, Creative Souls! How are you doing today?

So, one fine day, I decided to explore a new set of pens, and being a fan of Reynolds, I eagerly put them to the test. Personally, I find the older versions much more charming than the newer ones.

Earlier, I was drawing with stick pens. Then I decided to try one artwork with fine-tip gel pens. That’s when I zeroed in on Reynolds. I basically love to write or journal in these gel pens.

Speaking about the colors, I was so obsessed with this crystal teal blue (although this was a stick pen) and the cobalt blue Reynolds gel pen! I did nothing but set my mood, totally calmed down, and relaxed my entire system. You won’t believe how these pens took me through this artwork – an outcome that I wasn’t expecting to appear!

These pens were so clean in the process that they led the way effortlessly to finish this art piece. I loved the end result. I never imagined I would arrive at drawing an abstract bird through simple lines and wavy patterns. I loved the wavy, intricate touch it gave overall, blending both shades of blue.

Just that abstract art is this one form of art wherein you simply go with the flow(no visual reference), enjoying the moment and going by your intuition without worrying about the outcome. And even if the end result isn’t impressive, we have the power to change it as we please.

I think that’s definitely a beautiful metaphor reflecting life and its journey. Let us practice living gracefully, in the present moment. And you never know how surprising the result will turn out to be.

Some ancient Greek philosopher had said something like this that I read somewhere :

Giving your best with no expectations can lead to surprisingly happy outcomes.

So, let’s embrace uncertainties through art and see where the creative journey takes us.

Until next time,

Keep ARTing,

Neethu.
